    Nemesia - Carnival Mix

    The Nemesia Carnival Mix, ‘Nemesia strumosa Nana Compacta has very brilliantly colored flowers on a dwarf plant. Cute as a button, this wonderful cool season annual has snapdragon-like flowers. They come in shades of cream, yellow, blue, orange, crimson, pink, and bicolors. The 3/4 inch funnel-shaped flowers with a pouch at the base are borne on 3 to 4 inch spikes. The Carnival Mix blooms in the spring through early summer. The Nemesia prefers full sun or afternoon shade in hot summer climates. They do best in rich garden soil that is high in organic matter. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. In warm climates, plant in spring or fall. In short season climates plant after last average frost date. Carnival Mixes are excellent for cut flowers, containers, hanging baskets, edging, and borders.

    Fern - Maiden Hair

    The American Maidenhair Fern, Adiantum pedatum, is a deciduous, clump-forming fern which typically grows 1. 5 to 2′ tall and is most frequently found on rich wooded slopes, ravine bottoms and damp shady woods. American Maidenhair Ferns prefer moist, shady conditions, but will grow in sunnier spots if kept moist. Wiry stems are reddish-brown to black. Crosiers (coiled young fiddleheads) emerge pink in spring. The attractive foliage is showcased in container plantings, foundation plantings, and ground covers.

    The Bing Cherry is one of the finest commercial sweet cherries and it is the most famous sweet cherry variety. It produces a very large, delicious cherry that ranges in color from a deep garnet to almost black. The skin is smooth and glossy and the flesh firm and sweet. Bing cherries are good for cooking as well as out-of-hand eating. The flesh is very solid, reddish-purple in color, and is flavorful and juicy. The Bing Cherry tree requires cross-pollination to produce fruit.
