    Tulip - Lily Flowering - Marilyn

    The Tulip ‘Marilyn’, ‘Tulipa lily flowering’, a fall planted bulb, produces striking white floweres with red flames. This variety is absolutely astonishing when the flowers are completely opened up. Lilly Flowering tulips have slender, urn shaped flowers with pointed tips. They are quite tall and known for their long-lasting elegant flowers. These tulips flower in mid spring and they are very popular as cut flowers. Do not prune foliage until it has died back. If flowers are used for bouquets leave as much of the foliage as possible on the plant. Lily flowering tulips reliably come back every year. Lily flowering tulips are not only reliable, but they also have a look of elegance. Lift the bulbs about every 5 years or so and replant when they become too crowded.

    Ixia - White

    The Ixia ‘White Emperor’, ‘Ixia acaulis’, a fall planted bulb, produces beautiful white flowers among sword-like leaves. The long flower stems are adorned with the star-shaped flowers. The Ixia are used in borders, beds, containers, perennial gardens, and is an excellent cut flower. Ixia are also commonly called the African Lily. They love the sun and heat. Ixia cut flowers will last 2 weeks or more. Place them in well drained, rich, fertile soil.

    Arabian Star Flower

    The Arabian Star Flower, ‘Ornithogalum Arabicum’, a spring planted bulb, produces an abundance of beautiful, star shaped, white flowers that are fragrant. They begin blooming in late spring and bloom until mid-summer. The Arabian Star Flower is also commonly called Arab’s Eye or Lesser Cape Lily. It is very hardy plant that only needs watering during drought periods. They can be left undisturbed for many years and the clumps will expand up to 12 inches across from a single bulb. Plant in full sun to partial shade for best results. This plant produces excellent cut flowers. All parts of plant are poisonous if ingested.
