Honey LilyThe Honey Lily, ‘Nectaroscordum siculum’, a fall planted bulb, is also know as Sicilian Honey Lily or Sicilian Honey Garlic. The Honey Lily produces clusters of gracefully drooping flowers that are white with a maroon streak down each petal and green at the base. The large loose shaded bell-like blooms face downward. When it has flowered the seed heads then do a reverse and face stiffly upwards. The lovely blooms adorn tall stems. This plant is a relative of Allium, which is apparent when the leaves are crushed, but with very unique flowers. It is not a small or subtle plant, but it does make an interesting accent plant in the spring garden. They bloom in late spring and they can tolerate planting in sun or shade.
Dwarf Mondo GrassDwarf Mondo Grass, Ophiopogon japonicus, is an ornamental grass which grows to 4″ in height and is closely related to the liriope. It is also known as Dwarf Lilyturf, Mondo Grass Dwarf and Monkey Grass. Tiny, pale lavender flowers on short stalks bloom in summer are often hidden by the leaves. This perennial evergreen grows in average, medium wet, well-drained soil in part shade to full shade. Mondo Grasses are symmetrical with a fine texture and has a dense crown. It spreads by underground stems or tubers. This plant is widely used in rock gardens, seashore plantings, borders and groundcovers. It is intolerant of full sun.

This variety is absolutely astonishing when the flowers are completely opened up. lily Flowering tulips have slender, urn shaped flowers with pointed tips. They are quite tall and known for their long-lasting elegant flowers. These tulips flower in mid spring and they are very popular as cut flowers. Do not prune foliage until it has died back. If flowers are used for bouquets leave as much of the foliage as possible on the plant. Lily flowering tulips reliably come back every year. Lily flowering tulips are not only reliable, but they also have a look of elegance. Lift the bulbs about every 5 years or so and replant when they become too crowded.
