The Daylily Frances Joiner, Hemerocallis ‘Frances Joiner’ (Joiner, ‘88), has large 5 1/2 inch double peony type blooms that are beige color and fade to rose on towards the edges on green foliage. Frances Joiner is a mid-season rebloomer. It can survive harsh conditions that many other plants can not and prefers full sun for the best performance. Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. The will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Use for stand alone plantings, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs.

The Ixia ‘Mixed Colors’, ‘Ixia acaulis’, a fall planted bulb, produces an assortment of flower colors among sword-like leaves. The long flower stems are adorned with the star-shaped flowers. The Ixia are used in borders, beds, containers, perennial gardens, and it is an excellent cut flower. Ixia are also commonly called the African Lily. They love the sun and heat. Ixia cut flowers will last 2 weeks or more. Place them in well drained, rich, fertile soil.
