    Foxtail Lily - Yellow

The Foxtail Lily Yellow, ‘Eremurus Stenophylius’ produces impressive tall spikes of hundreds of small, yellow, lilylike flowers on a tall stem. These spectacular flowers make a colorful and bold statement in the early summer garden. Towering at the back of the sunny border, the leafless flower stalks grow above green, strap-shaped leaves. The roots of the Foxtail Lily must be handled very carefully. The soil should be well-drained, so add sufficient sand to heavy clay soils. Although the tubers are winter hardy, a mulch layer is highly recommended.

Lily - OT Hybrid - Boogie Woogie

The Lily ‘Boogie Woogie’, ‘Lilium OT Hybrid’, a fall planted bulb, provides a lovely combination of huge creamy yellow flowers with a pink edge on a sturdy stem. ‘Boogie Woogie’ is an outstanding performer in any summer garden. OT Hybrid Lilies are the result of combining really big-flowered, heavy scented Orientals with earlier flowering, sturdy Trumpet Lilies. This plant will bloom for a 3-4 week period in the summer. Plant immediately after purchase, as the bulbs must not be left to dry out. Well-drained soil is a must so avoid soggy ground. Plant where there will be some shade during the hottest part of the day so that flowers will hold their color. Remove faded flowers promptly for continous blooming. At the end of the season, allow the foliage to turn yellow and die back. After a frost, clip back the stem near ground level and apply a mulch cover to ensure the bulb makes it through the winter months. If planting in a container, start off in a cool, shady location for proper root growth. This Lily is good for containers, cut flowers, and borders. They attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
